Narrative

Ann was baptised at the Parish Church of St Martin in Salisbury, Wiltshire on 6 Jan 1833, the daughter of William Reeves and Ann (nee Anne PARER). The family were living on Gigant Street, Salisbury.

At the time of the census in June 1841, Ann (and a Jane Reeves, presumed to be her sister) were living in the household of her maternal step grand-father Thomas SILWOOD and her maternal grand-mother Martha (formerly PARKER, nee BUTLER). Ann is shown as age 6. The family were living on Winchester Street, Salisbury.

On the 1851 census, Ann is found in the household of her now widowed maternal grand-mother Martha SELWOOD (sic), still on Winchester Street, Salisbury. Ann is aged 17 and has no listed occupation, so it is probable she is keeping house for Martha. George PARKER, Ann's widowed uncle is also living in the same household.

Ann has yet to be found on the 1861 census under her birth name, so it is probable she has married.
FreeBMD has a death registration in 3q1857 for a Martha SELWOOD in Salisbury Registration District and a marriage of a Ann REEVES in 3q1860 also in Salisbury. The certificates for these entries might provide additional useful information.
