Narrative
Anne Ryves, the daughter of Charles Ryves and Sarah (nee Peters) was baptised on 10 April 1814 at the Parish Church of St Mary & All Saints, Droxford, Hampshire. Her parents are known by the surname Reeves on both the 1841 & 1851 census returns. On the 1841 census Ann is not living in the parental home and she has yet to be positively identified elsewhere.
It seems probable (based on age and place of birth) that this is the Ann Reeves (sic) who appears on the 1851 census in Portchester, Hampshire. She is working as a nurse in the household of Thomas Adams, where there is a one month old daughter, M Adams.
Anne/Ann Ryves/Reeves has yet to be positively identified on subsequent census returns.
