The identities of the children of Azariah Reeves are found in the probate documents contained in the Orange County estate file of Azariah's father, Frederick Reeves.

In 1849 when Elizabeth Reeves, widow of Azariah, petitioned the Orange County Court for a year's provisions, she stated that her husband had died in March of that year. Oddly, the 1850 census of Orange County, taken on the 23rd of July 1850, lists a 41 year old Azariah Reeves as a laborer in the household of Elizabeth Reeves and her children.

Research Notes

Azariah Reeves appears to have been incorrectly listed as Zach or Zachariah in the 1830 census. The individuals in that household match Azariah, his wife and their two oldest daughters in the 1840 census,
