Ben was most likely born in Auraria, Lumpkin County, Georgia according to the 1910 Census where he was 4 yrs. old. He fathered 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls. All are still living with the exception of son Elijah Canzady (E.C.) Reeves 1942-1958.
Ben Married Zula Elmira Moss ~1938. In the 1940 Census, he is listed as previously living in Mitchell, Nebraska in 1935, where he would have been single. The 1940 North Carolina Census shows he is married to Zula and has one child that is one yr. old.
Ben and Zula raised the family and moved from the Suburbs of Charlotte, N.C. to Hall County, Ga. during their marriage.

1. Ben's 1940 Draft Card says his Birth Date is April 10, 1907.
2. Ben's father was called "Can". His father's middle name was spelled "Canzady" if he spelled it the same as his grandson E.C. Reeves who was named after him.
3. Ben's mother's name is listed with differing spellings throughout the record. She is listed as Cenith, or Acenoth, or Sena and her marriage record says Seynior (or Segnior) Martin.
5. He moved his family to and from suburbs of Charlotte, N.C. during his lifetime.
6. Ben was in the Army at Fort Bragg, N.C. in 1930. (1930 Census)
7. Ben was a wanderer in his early years. He "hoboed" trains to go out West and spent a lot of time in Mitchell and Scottsbluff, Nebraska up to at least 1935.
