The will of Benjamin Corwin on Lansing mentions "my only daughter Anne, the wife of Benjamin C. Reeves."

In 1820 he was living next door to a Moses Reeve who appears to have an older man in the household. In 1830, he was living next door to Moses Reeves who was age 20-30. This is unlikely to be his son as his will from 1836 stated that Moses was still under 21.

The 1880 census for son Stephen D. indicates his father (Benjamin C.) was born in New Jersey.
