Narrative
In the 1880 census of Morgan County, Alabama, Caroline Reeves Yeager, also lists the birthplace of her father Thomas Reeves as Maryland. This, along with the similar statements of her brothers, Hickerson and Thomas, further confirms that she was a grandchild of Bennett Reeves who migrated from Charles County, Maryland to Wilkes County, Georgia.The Alabama Enquirer, March 27, 1890
Mrs. Caroline Yeager, nee Reeves, died at her home near Hartselle, March 22nd, 1890, with softening of the brain. She was born in Morgan County, April 4th, 1825. She was married to S. F. A. Yeager on March 20th, 1845.
She professed religion and joined the Baptist Church while young and lived an humble, pious, christian until her death. She was buried at the Reeves Family Cemetery, three miles east of Hartselle, on Sunday, March 23rd. The funeral was preached by her pastor, the undersigned. ----J. I. Stockton.
