Carroll was always known as Pat. He was only a few months old when his father died. He married Opal Pittman 28 Jul 1925 in Comanche, TX., and lived to be 85 years old, the last of a very large and complicated family.

He is buried in Stag Creek Cemetery, Comanche, TX.
