The 1851 census points to his birth in about 1813 in Southampton.Charles Henry Reeves and Phillis Ann BATCHELER were married at the Parish Church of St Mary, Southampton on 4 October 1836. Note on both 1841 & 1851 census returns Charles's wife is listed as Ann Reeves.

The name Allas A Reeves is taken from the 1851 census return. She is in all probability Alice Ann Reeves, whose birth was registered in the Southampton Registration District in the first quarter of 1850.
At the time of the 1841 census, Charles, Ann and Charles are living on Cossack Street, Kingsland Place in the St Mary area of Southampton. All three claim birth in Hampshire and Charles is shown as 27 years old (note not rounded down) and a labourer.
On the 1851 census Charles with his wife Ann and children Charles, Eliza, William and Allas (Alice)are living at 29 Cumberland Street, in the St Mary's area of Southampton. Charles is 38 years old, claims birth in Southampton and is working as a labourer.
Charles and family have yet to be identified on the 1861 or later census returns and nothing else is currently known about him.
