Dec. 13, 1816 - Deed from Benjamin T. Thorn; William Thorn; Benjamin Davis and Sarah, his wife; Samuel Turner and Elizabeth, his wife; and Catherine Moran of Charles Co. to Robert Davis of Charles County for $448 the land where Absalom Thorn died seized of and where his dwelling house stood called "Byase Den," 96 acres. Later it's spelled "Byrse Den," but the land was "Burches Den." Witnesses: Theodore Mudd, John J. Estep. Mar. 20, 1817: Dorcas Thorn, wife of Benjamin Thorn waived her dower.
