The McComb City Enterprise, 23 May 1918
Elijah Reeves, died at his home 5 miles east of here May 15, 1918, age 93 years 5 months and 15 days. He had made and helped to make 80 crops, and had a crop growing at the time of his death. His wife died years ago but he leaves 7 children, 5 sons and 2 daughters, and a host of grandchildren and great grand children. He leaves but one sister, Miss Jane Cole. He was an ex-Confederate soldier and a loyal citizen. The funeral occured at the Reeves Cemetery, services by Rev. J. H. Lane, assisted by Rev. W. R. Jonston and W. H. Williams.

Naomi's headstone reads: "In Memory of/Naomi A./Wife of/Elijah Reeves/Born Apr 26 1846/Died Nov 17 1871/..."
