Francis Reeves, son of Francis and Harriet, was baptized 31 Oct 1833 at Hawkshurst, Kent.

In 1861, Francis was in Etchingham, Sussex, age 27, listed as born in Hawkhurst, Kent.

In 1871, the family was in Hawkhurst. Francis was age 37, born in Hawkhurst. With him were wife Janet Holden (31), children Florence (6), Janette (5), Francis (3), visitor Annie Elliott (27) and servants Sarah Southon (17), Emma Hodgkins (17), and Mary Collins (16).

Francis's abode in 1881 is named Little Pix Hall. This identifies him as the nephew of Mrs. Thomas Reeves who named him executor to her will.

Note that the 1881 census places Jannette's birthplace as Elchingham, Sussex. The marriage record states that Francis, age 29, was of Lunsford Lodge in Elchingham, Sussex and was son of Francis Reeves, farmer. Janet Holden Reeves, 23, spinster, was of Wellesley Court, Croyden, Surry, daughter of Richard Reeves, a miller.

In 1891, the family was in Wateringbury, Kent. Francis is listed as a farmer, age 57, born in Hawkhurst. With him were wife Janet (51), children Florence (25), Janette (22), Edith (18), Reginald F. (13), Howard A. (8), visitors Mary E. Moger (20), Francis W. Moger (16), and Laura M. Moger, and servants Esther F. Goble (28) and Eliabeth Brooker (20),

In 1901, Francis was age 67, born in Hawkhurst, living in Wateringbury with wife Janet H. (61), children Janette (35), Edith H. (28), Reginald F. (22), Lillian (21), niece Dorothy H. Moger (19), and servants Henrietta Rolf (22) and Ellen M. Dann (18).

In 1911, Francis was a widower, age 77, living in Wateringbury with children Janette (45) and Edith H. (38) along with servants Millicent Lockyer (20) and Annie Chusman? (19).

National Probate Calendar from 1911 states:
Reeves Francis of Wateringbury Hall, Wateringbury Kent died 23 July 1911 Probate London 26 August to Francis Reeves and Harold Arthur Reeves farmers.
