FRED REEVES
Silverton - Fred Reeves, father of Delbert Reeves, killed in action in France during the World war and for whom Delbert Reeves post, American Legion, was named, died at the family home Monday following an extended illness. Reeves was 78 years of age. Born In Rock Island, Ill.. July 4, 1858. Married Dora E. Ditch at St. Lawrence. S. D.. Aug. 28. 1892. The family resided In Wessington. S. D., until coming to Silverton 27 years ago. Survived by widow; son, Roscoe Reeves of Silverton, and a granddaughter, Vivian Ruth Reeves of Silverton. Funeral services Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Ekman Funeral home. Interment will be in Bethany cemetery. Members of the local post, American Legion, will serve as pallbearers.
