On the 1851 census, George, wife Louisa and family are living in Downton Wiltshire.
The marriage registration of George and Louisa ANSELL is recorded in the March quarter of 1847 in the Alderbury Registration District. Louisa's maiden name is supported by the presence of George's son-in-law (aka step-son) Caleb Ansell on the 1851 census.
On the 1861 census George is then married to Susan nee TOBIAS and living in Fordingbridge Hampshire.
George and Louisa had four known children.
Thus far, George has NOT been identified on either the 1871 or 1881 census returns. In 1871, his youngest son Alfred is away from a home context working in service and Frank (Francis) is living with his widowed Aunt and widowed paternal grandmother.
