Henry was the owner and operator of a store. This store was situated approximately 6 miles south east of El Dorado Springs Missouri off Highway 32 on what is now U highway. He sold items such as coffee, sugar, beans, salt and many other things needed by the farmers in the area. They bought eggs, cream and butter from other farmers and sold. The store is said to have gotten its name of “Peggy’s “ store due to the fact that Henry Reeves had a peg leg. This information was taken from the cedar county Missouri history and families book and family stories. Henry is buried at the Mound-Mann cemetery in cedar county Missouri.
