Narrative
Children of Henry N. Reeves:- John Reeves, b. c1862
Children of Henry N. Reeves and Harriett N Hanson:
- Frank Henry Reeves, b. 29 Nov 1872
John Reeves, age 8 is listed with them in the 1870 census. It states his mother was of foreign birth.
Henry was a gold prospector in Nova Scotia, Canada and is pictured working his trade in 1912. The bio attached to his picture in the Nova Scotia Archives states he "died in 1927 at the age of 87." This is incorrect. He actually died in 1922, at the age of 87.
The 1891 census lists his occupation as miner and the 1901 as "G. Miner." The 1901 also states his birth date as 21 Jun 1834 (agrees with death certificate) and Harriet's as 3 Dec 1835.
In 1921 his sister Sophia Rastus was living with him.
His death certificate states that both parents were born in Dartmouth.
