Hezekiah Reeves drew in the 1803 Land Lottery in Wilkes County, Georgia.Hezekiah Reeves enlisted in the U.S. Army on July 14, 1812, in Wilkes County, Georgia. He indicated that he was born in Guilford County, North Carolina, and that he was 5 feet 11 1/2 inches tall with blue eyes and dark hair. His age is shown in one place as 30 and in another as 33. He enlisted under Lt. Turpin for a period of five years to end on July 13, 1817. Notes indicate that he deserted November 17, 1815.
In the 1820 Alabama census, one Hezekiah Reeves was listed in Franklin County, Alabama. Hezekiah was over 21 years old but the only member of his household.
Also present in Franklin County in that census are a James Reeves and Isaac Reeves but there is no known family connection.
