1920- Murphy Dist., Ritchie, W.VA census list of 19 Feb 1920 notes Jacob T Reeves w/m age 5 as living in the household of his father, Jacob T Reeves. His mother, Gattie Toothman Reeves died 14 Dec 1919. Four brothers and one sister are also enumerated as living in the home.
1930- Murphy Dist., Ritchie, W.VA census 11 Mar 1930 records Jacob T Reeves as a 15 year old w/m residing in his father's house with two brothers and one sister.

1936- West Virginia, U.S., Marriages Index, 1785-1971 documents the marriage of Junior T Reeves and Gladys Mae Cowan in Ritchie, W.VA.

1940- Marietta, Washington, Ohio census 4 May 1940 places Jacob T Reeves and family living there. Jacob is recorded as a w/m, 26 years old, married and the head of the house. He is working as a laborer. His wife Gladys M Reeves is logged as a w/f, 24 years old with two sons being enumerated. On the 16th of Oct 1940, Jacob registered for the draft at Martins Ferry, Ohio. He stated he was born 28 Dec 1914, in Harrisville, W.VA. He is employed by the Interstate Trucking Service and his emergency contact is Mrs. Gladys Mae Reeves.

1950- Between 1940 and 1950, Jacob and Gladsy get a divorce. the 1950 census shows Jacob to be the head of house, married, and 36 years old. However the wife's name is not Gladsy. In fact on the 23 Feb 1950, Gladsy Mae Reeves marries Joseph Irving.

Steubenville, Jefferson, Ohio census for 17 May 1950 list Jacob's wife as Madge, and five sons and one daughter living in the home. Their address is entered as apartment 147, downstairs and Jacob's twin brother, Lloyd Reeves and family are living in apartment 147 upstairs. The two brothers are employed by the same trucking company as drivers.

1970- U.S. Find-A-Grave Index, 1600's-Current notes the death of Jacob Thomas "Junior" Reeves as 24 Nov 1970.

1972-The Evening Review, East Liverpool, Ohio-11 Sep 1972, pg. 15 published an article titled Steel Firm Names Defendant In Suit, Reeves vs Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. The suit is filed by Jacob Thomas Reeves Jr (III) and claims his father died as the result of injuries received while loading steel coils on his truck at the Mingo Junction Plant in Ohio in 1970.
