As James Revis of Malta, Kennebec County, he apparently received some land and then mortgaged eighty one acres in Kennebec to the "Proprietors of the Kennebec Purchase" in 1810.
Windsor Vital Records book states:
Wm Hilton of Malta Esq certified to me that on the tenth day of May 1818 he joined in marriage Mr. James Reves Jun & Miss Hannah Rogers both of Malta.
Malta May 11 1818, Wm Hilton town clerk
They had a John R Reeves, age 10, living with them in 1860, probably a grandson.
