Narrative

Jane Reeves appears on the 1820 census of Greenville County, South Carolina living in close proximity to a John Reeves. She may be a member of the family of John Reeves, but there is currently no information to confirm that. It is possible that she was the wife of William Reeves who may have been away from home serving in the army during one of the various indian wars of this time period, i.e. the Seminole Wars. By the 1830 Greenville census, William appears to have returned.
