With the exception of Polly, the above children are named in the 1796 will of John Roussau, written in Columbia County, Georgia in 1796. His wife Jane was apparently expecting another child for John Roussau made a statement in that will including "a child in the womb".

John Roussau was listed in the Virginia Early Census Index compiled from tax lists in 1770 and 1777.

Jane Reeves Roussau apparently died sometime before December of 1822, for starting that month and continuing throughout the next year, her heirs who were living in Georgia at the time, executed powers of attorney to Austin Smith Reeves that were recorded in Mason County, Kentucky. These documents were made in the course of selling their portions of a tract of land belonging to Samuel Reeves and inherited by their mother Jane who was his sister.
