Gervas Reeves was baptized 4 Jan 1818 in Breaston, Derbyshire. His brother Alexander was baptized the same day. The census records place his birth 1814 to 1817.
The MA 1865 state census states that Jarvis and his daughter Mary were born in Derbyshire and that Harreitt was born in Nottinghamshire. However, the 1841 census states that they were all born in the same County (Nottinghamshire).
In 1850, a William H. Harrison, born c1797 is living with them. In 1860, they are in the household of Robert W. Smith.
Left a will in Essex County naming his children: Alexander Reeves, Mary Reeves now Willis, Samuel Reeves, and Martha Reeves now Carpenter.
1850 census says wife's name was Hannah, but everything else including the 1841 UK Census states Harriett. The marriage of "Gervas Reeves" and Harreit Radford in 1836 in Breaston, Derbyshire, is the best fit for this couple.
