Narrative
John is listed in the 1840 census next to Sarah, the widow of Stephen Reaves and her son William. In a deed from 1841, a John Reeves of Talbot County, Georgia sold all his interest in the estate of Stephen Reaves to John C. Boyington & Charles H. McCall, business partners. The next year, John sold some land to William Reeves of Talbot, presumably the son of Stephen.
There was no John named in the will of Stephen Reaves, so it is unclear who this is.
It's possible this is the same as Samuel J. Reaves who was a son of Stephen Reaves.
