Research Notes

This may be John Reeves who married Ann Smith on 3 Jun 1834 at Newington, St Mary in Surrey.

There was a John Reeves, born in Orsett, Essex, a widower age 46, listed on the 1861 census in Kensington. This would seem to be this John. However, there is also indication that this John had passed by then. There is a will probated on 12 Jun 1856 in the Prerogative Court of Canterbury for John Reeves of John Street Tottenham Court Road and of ? Street Notting Hill in Middlesex, an artists colourman. The will was written 8 May 1856, and mentions his wife Ann. The death of that John was registered 2q 1856 in Kensington Registration District, age 42, which fits with this John.
