Child of John Thomas Reeves and Lizzie:

1. John William Reeves, b. 13 Aug 1887

His birth record gives his name as John Thomas Reeves. At the time of his birth, his parents were living at Titford, Oldbury in Worcestershire and the birth was registered in the Oldbury Registrar's District, which is a part of the West Bromwich, Staffordshire Superintendent Registrar's District.

It is likely he arrived in the USA between some time after his own birth in 1862 and prior to the birth of his younger sister Saddie, who was born about 1876 (aged 4 and born in Pennsylvania according to the 1880 US Census).

On the 1880 US census, he appears as John Reeves in a family context with his parents John and Sarah and three siblings.

In other US records, he always appears as John A. Reeves, so he may have changed his middle name. His death certificate gives the same birth date as the English birth certificate. The death certificate also says he was born in Pittsburgh, but census records say England.

At the time of the 1910 census he appears as John A REEVES, a Lodger in the household of Laura B KELLER and her daughter Grace KELLER. He is 47 years old, a widower, who was born in England and immigrated to the United States in 1870. He was a naturalised subject by this time.
