The Virginia marriage record for Fannie names both parents and John's full name. John left a will in 1890 which names his daughters Fanny Lee Reeves and Johanna V. Dewaney. It also names a wife Mary Elizabeth Allen Reeves. John was buried in the Rock Creek Cemetery in Washington 4 Oct 1890.
