Lansing, Mich., January 21. - John D. Reeves, who has lived in Lansing township since 1836, and who was the first postmaster in these parts, died yesterday at the age of 85 years. He was for many years one of the most prominent men of the locality. He laves one son, O. V. Reeves, and five daughters. The funeral will take place Wednesday.
