John G. Reeves bought one hundred and fifty five and a half acres from his uncle Absalom Reeves in 1834, then sold it to Pary Arant in 1840. This land appears to be listed in the 1837 tax list under the name John Reeves, next to Reuben Reeves. Pary Arant's father, Aaron Arant, lived in Chesterfield and/or Chester Counties in South Carolina.
John G. Reeves had a Wiley Reeves, age 22, living with him in 1850. This may be the unknown sibling from the family Bible in Daniel Fox's pension record.
He lived in Illinois for a while and then moved to Arkansas.
