Savannah Republican, 5 Mar 1811
Departed this life, in Washington county, in the nineteenth year of her age, Mrs. MARY RIVES, consort of Turner Rives, esq., and youngest daughter of Col. John Rutherford, leaving an infant only four months old. In the loss of this amiable lady, her mourning relations have just cause for sorrow. In the discharge of the numerous duties of mother, daughter, and neighbor, she had few equals.
"She, like the budding rose, put forth fair promise, 'Till death, like an untimely frost, withered its bloom."
