Kenneth Vernon Reeves is recorded in the 1930 Census, Granite City, Madison, Illinois as an 8 year old living in his parents home.

In the 1940 Census, Granite City, Madison, Illinois he is recorded as an 18 year old and his occupation is that of a minister.

He was married 1 May 1946 to the love of his life Norma Lee Huskey, daughter of Raymond Huskey and Cecile Grant. Her obituary in the Belleville News and Democrat, 3 May 2017, pg. A10 stated that her and her husband Kenneth served the First United Pentecostal Church of Granite City, Madison, Illinois for over 50 years. In the Alton Evening Telegraph dated 15 Feb 1946, pg 18 there was a notice stating that Evangelist Kenneth Vernon Reeves would be a key note speaker. Another article in the Jackson Sun, Jackson, Tennessee dated 15 Feb 1948 pg.31 stated that the Rev. Kenneth V Reeves was one of the South's most interesting speakers. It appears that Kenneth was traveling the Tennessee circuit for Pentecostal Ministers.

In the 1950 Census, Trenton, Gibson, Tennessee Kenneth is recorded as married and still working as a minister. In fact Kenneth is a traveling minister working the evangelistic side of his ministry.
