Narrative

Children of Lemuel Reeves and Ann:
  1. Amos Reeves

Based on the 1830 census, it appears they had one son born 1820-1825. He is not listed in 1840 household of Ann. This would appear to be Amos Reeves as Lemuel applied for the license for his first marriage.

From Greenwich Presbyterian Church records of baptisms:
Lemuel son of Johnson Reeves, 23 Feb 1783

In an 1805 deed, Lemuel and wife Sarah sold some land in Cumberland County as heirs of their uncle John Sheppard.

These relevant deeds note his whereabouts in the 1810's:
- In 1813, Lemuel Reeve of Berks County, Pennsylvania, son of Johnson Reeves, sold the land he inherited. (DB 24, p248)
-In 1815, Lemuel Reeves & Ann his wife were of Camden, Gloucester County, New Jersey (DB 28, p94)

Headstones in the Old Mahoning Pioneer Cemetery in Trumbull County read as follows:
  • Lemuel Reeves died April 1, 1832 aged 50
  • ....Lemuel Reeves died Oct. 9, 1861 (presumably Anna)
