The 1850 census states L. B. R. Reeves was born c1804 in South Carolina. He was living in Dyer County, Tennessee that year but appears in the 1840 census in Lauderdale County, right below Dyer. He was listed as L. B. R. Reeves in 1840 as well. In 1853, as Littlebury R. Reeves, he sold 320 acres of land in Dyer County to Thomas R. Burgie.

He may have been married twice. It's not clear from the 1850 census if M. Reeves (age 23) was a second wife or an older daughter.
