In April 1866, George M. Reeves petitioned the orphans court for a division of the estate of Luke Reeves, who died intestate. He died owning land in Deptford on Old Salem Road. His children are listed as George M Reeves, John B Reeves, Mary B Reeves, and Sarah F Reeves. John, Mary, and Sarah were minors under 21 at the time of petition.

The death record for son George records mothers name as Effie J. Brown.

This may be the son of the older Luke Reeves who appears in Gloucester in the 1840 census.
