Georgia records and the Family Bible note the marriage of Martha E. Reeves to Dr. Lafayette Jordan Green on 28 January 1869 in Pike County. He was born in 1834 and died in 1890, a son of Judge Hartford Lafayette Green and Nancy Ellis. She was living in 1898 when her brother George W. Reeves died. She continued to live in Pike County as a widow and died in 1931, of complications from old age ("no real disease that I could name," as her death certificate states). She was buried in East View Cemetery, Zebulon, Pike Co., GA.
