Child of Merritt Reeves and Elizabeth Hiatt:

1. Daniel Merritt Reeves, b. 8 Sep 1849, d. 31 Jan 1877

Joseph Reeves was apparently deceased by the time not listed with his family when the 1830 census was taken and Merrit Reeves appears to the the head of the household which includes his mother (female age 40-40) and four younger sisters as well as an older female 80-89 who was probably a grandmother. James Aynes, brother of Ann Aynes, was living in the next residence. It initially appeared that Joseph was deceased by that time, but he is listed in the household of another son, Willis, in the 1840 census of Shelby County.
