In the 1810 census of Hillsborough, Orange County, North Carolina, Michael Reeves was 16-25 years old and listed as the head of household that appeared to include his siblings and an elderly mother. The residents of the household were: 1 male under 10; 1 male 16-25; 1 female under 10; 1 female 10-15; 1 female 2-44 and 1 female over 45.

The only other Orange County record is a marriage bond on 16 Aug 1816 for the marriage of Michael "Reavs" to Betsy Morgan. Bondsman was Jacob Daughety.

This may be the same individual, age 81, who was living in the poor house in Smith County, Tennessee in the census of 1860. See page for that Michael Reeves.
