Widow Sarah Reeves filed a pension in Flat Rock, Wayne County, Michigan in 1878 for her husband Moses's service in the War of 1812. It claims he enlisted in Warren NJ as a private and that he received Land Warrant No 31.708. He entered service 6 Sep 1814 and served until 20th Nov 1814. It states that Moses Reeves and Sarah Young were married in 1820. And that he died 1 Mar 1856. Further papers state that he died in Ash, Monroe Co., Michigan 1 Mar 1856. And that since his discharge he had lived in Sussex County NJ, Seneca County NY, Wayne County MI, and died in Monroe County MI.
Moses was buried in Riverside Cemetery, South Rockwood, Monroe County, Michigan.
