Narrative

Paul was not given a middle name. He married Frances Caroline McEldowney in 1941 in Ellis county. Before any children were born he shipped overseas as an army soldier for the duration of the war. Their first child, my older brother, was born in 1952, an eleven year gap from marriage to first child which is rather uncommon. As a young boy I always wondered why my parents were so much older than the parents of my schoolmates.
Paul attended Southern Methodist University but to my understanding he did not graduate. Nevertheless, his employment during the Cold War was with various aerospace firms.
