Narrative

Randolph ran a number of advertisements in 1847 inviting buyers to his furniture shop. It mentions mahogany sofas, chairs, tables, feather beds, china, and other types of furniture or goods.

Mr. Patch, a teacher, was living with them in 1850.

ROBBERY. - The room occupied by Mr. R. B. Reeves, in the dwelling occupied by Mrs. Rawlings, on Massachusetts avenue, between 7th and 8th streets, was entered yesterday, during the absence of himself and wife, and property to the amount of $400 taken therefrom, in money and goods. A young man was arrested on suspicion, but released after examination before Justice Hollingshead, there being no criminating evidence against him.
