Reuben Reeves was living in Allen County, Kentucky when he married Matilda in 1832. Deeds show that he bought land in 1835 and 1838. He and his wife sold some as well in 1838. In 1840, they sold more land in Allen County while residing in Monroe County, Missouri.
According to the census, both parent were born in North Carolina.
