Richard appears to be living with his parents Richard and Mary in 1841. There are a couple ladies named Mary Franklin (age 50) and Jane Bothrel (age 17) living with them along with a James Reeves (age 9).

His wife Jane was born in Kings Sutton, Northamptonshire.

Richard Reeve is listed in Church of England deaths with burial 12 May 1879, age 78, of Launton.

Research Notes

The Birth Registration of son William was recorded during the third quarter of 1839 in the Bicester Registration District, which includes the parish of Launton, Oxfordshire. FreeBMD shows his surname as REEVES and the more recent GRO Index shows REEVE. The GRO Index gives William's mother's maiden name as NEEDLE.

It is surmised that son Joseph may be John Joseph Reeves who was living with his wife's family in Oldbury, Staffordshire in 1861. The birthplace of his wife is given as Launton. However all her siblings are said to be born in Oldbury so the reference to Launton may refer to Richard.
