Robert seems to have switched from using "Reeves" to "Reaves." His WWI Draft card and early records state "Reeves" while his and his wife's headstones state "Reaves."
In 1950, he was living as a widower with his son Joe in Blount County, Tennessee.

REEVEES, Robert P. - 84, formerly of Oliver Springs, died Thursday morning at the home of a son, Joe, in Maryville. Survivors: sons, Clyde, Clairfield, Charles, Oliver Springs, Joe, Maryville, Sam, Clinton; four sisters, Mrs. Neal McCartt and Mrs. Ollie Bolden, both of Oliver Springs, Mrs. Taylor Sherwood and Mrs. Matilda Hickman; brother, Henry Reeves, all of Lenoir City; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Services at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sharp's Chapel, Masons in charge. Interment in Oliver Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Friday at funeral home. Sharp Funeral Home, Oliver Springs, in charge.
