Rowe's marriage certificate as well as headstone lists her name as "R. E. C." Censuses variously list her name as Rowe, Rosie and Rosa.

Her death certificate states her parents were W. J. Reeves and Mary Miller. It incorrectly states her birth was 6 Jun 1883. The census indicates around 1870, and the headstone states 6 Jun 1870.
