Rufus K. Reeves was enumerated with his parents in Pike Co., GA, in 1850. He was not named in the 1898 obituary of his brother George W. Reeves, although it is possible that the obituary mentioned only George's siblings living in Pike County.

Rufus King Reeves was born 1 September 1838 and died 6 April 1917. He is buried in a marked grave in Oconee Hill Cemetery, Athens, Clarke Co., GA. He married Anna E. Powell on 18 November 1869 and Mary P. Powell on 19 February 1887, both in Walton Co., GA (which adjoins Clarke County). The 1900 Clarke Co., GA, census showed that Rufus had children M. C. (born 1874, female), R. K. (born 1877, male), and Anna P. (born 1888, female). Susie B. Reave, born 1862, was also shown with the family.

Family Bible mentions the married to Anna E. Powell on 18 Nov 1869.
