Narrative
Children 0f Samuel Reeves and Elizabeth Millet:- Elizabeth Reeves, b. 26 Aug 1733
- Judith Reeves, b. 13 Apr 1735
- Thomas Reeves, b. 14 Dec 1741
In 1762, "Samuel Reeves of Medford in the County of Middlesex Heelmaker" sold some land which had come to him from his father Cockeril Reeves's estate.
Based on age at death, the Samuel who died in 1791 is a match with the son of Cockrill Reeves. His will names "John Albree Samuel Albree Joseph Albree Elizabeth Albree and Elizabeth Warren...the five aforesaid Grandchildren." It also names "my Grandson in Law, Isaac Warran Junr."
This appears to be the Samuel Reeves who was fined 40 pounds for cursing about the Governor coming to visit. He was made to stand upon a public stool with a sign that read "For vile factious mutinous and insolent words against His Excellency the Governour and the Honorable Francis Nicholson Esqr."
