A dog belonging to Wiley Reeves, of Union township, went mad recently and bit a sow and a cow, both of which went mad and had to be killed.

Wiley and Rebecca are buried in New Home Cemetery, Crawford County, Missouri. Wiley has a military marker there as well which describes him being in CO F., 63 EN. MO. MIL. The service record for Wiley states that he enlisted 10 Sep 1864, age 28, born in Washington, Missouri
