Children of William Reeves and Betty Newman:- George Reeves, b. c1844
- Frank Reeves, b. c1846
- Mark Reeves, b. c1847
- Ann Reeves, b. c1851
William and his wife Betty have been identified on the 1851 census return in Morgan's Vale near Redlynch, Wiltshire. They have 4 known children, three sons and a daughter. Daughter Ann was only 5 months old on the 1851 census and is missing from the family group in 1861.
By 1861, the family had strayed to Toothill, in Romsey Extra, Hampshire, about fifteen miles distant, and remained there on the 1871 census.
GRO Birth Index for Frank and Mark indicate a mother's maiden name of Newman. This matches the marriage record for William Reeves and Betty Newman from 1843.
Marriage from Downton, Wiltshire Parish Registers:
- (1843) May 8th | William Reeves | full | Bachelor | Labourer | Downton | David Reeves | Labourer (to) Betty Newman | full | Spinster | Labourer | Morgans Vale | Thomas Newman dead

William was living in Romsey Extra, Hampshire by 1861 and was still there in 1871. His death was registered in 4q 1874 in Romsey Registration District.
