Narrative
The earliest Reeves found in this area to date is a Robert Reeves recorded as a taxpayer in 1742 but whether William Reeves found in Bladen as a land owner by 1773 is a descendant of Robert Reeves is unknown.William Reeves and John McDaniel received a warrant for 600 acres on the eastern side of Harrison's Creek Swamp, entered May 24, 1773, Grant No. 306 issued March 6, 1775. This grant was adjoining Willson's Corner, Nathaniel Reeves, Robert Edwards and Samuel Carver which may indicate that there was some connection to Nathaniel Reeves.
