The US Passport Application for this daughter Mary Brazier Reeves states that her father William was born in Headcorn, Kent and died 30 Nov 1918. It further states he emigrated from London around 1 May 1879. It further states he was naturalized before the NY Supreme Court on 11 Nov 1890. There is a naturalization record for him which states he arrived in the US on 27 Sep 1880.
The 1900 census indicates William migrated in 1863 while his wife Mary migrated in 1880. They were both born in England. This seems to have mixed up when William arrived.
Several of the children's death or other records state the mother's name was Mary Anne Joyce.
The best fit for William's baptism is that from 20 Oct 1844 at Headcorn, Kent, son of Robert and Mary Reeves. He appears in the 1851 census in Staplehurst in the household of his maternal uncle and aunt, William and Ellen Barnes. In 1861, he was in the household of his father Robert and step-mother Harriet in Sandhurst. While the passport for his daughter states he was born at Headcorn, this was actually the place of his baptism. The census indicates he was born at Sandhurst.
