WILLIAM REEVES DEAD.
Civil War Veteran Died of Paralysis at Son's, W. O. Reeves, 109 N. Barbee — Burial in National.
William Reeves, aged 77, a Civil War veteran, died at 122:40 (sic) P. M. today at the home of his son, W. O. Reeves. 109 Darbee St., where he had been visiting for seven weeks, since coming here from Quincy, Ill. He was a former resident of Fort Scott, running a shore shop on East Wall Street some 17 years ago.
Mr. Reeves was afflicted with paralysis. He was a native of Illinois and was 77 years of age last Christmas. He leaves two sons, W. O. Reeves of Fort Scott and George Reeves of Kent, Ohio, also five grand-children.
Mr. Reeves served during the Civil war with Co. G., 132 Ill. Inf. For 30 years he had been a member of the Baptist church. He was held in high esteem by friends and comrades. He was a member of the G. A. R.
The funeral will be held at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the M First Baptist Church, conducted
by Rev. M. O. Wolfe. Burial will be made in the National cemetery. G. A. R. Services will be held.
