Research Notes
The photograph of the gravestone of William H. Reeves in Greenwood Cemetery very clearly shows a date of death of 29 Dec 1950; however, the 1930 City Directory of Shreveport, Louisiana lists Louise D. Reeves as the widow of W. H. Reeves. Daughters Effie and Lavelle are listed at the same address in the city directory but are also listed in census in the home of their father whose address is given as the same street listed in the city directory. It may be that William H. and Louisa separated or divorced but both have listed themselves as "widowed" in the 1930 records.Sources
